I’m so far behind on my blog!
I still have more photos of England in the queue, but I’ve been itching to share these snaps from a recent trip to the Scottish Highlands.
I took a coach tour, which tends to squeeze a lot into one day. We visited Doune Castle (familiar to Monty Python and the Holy Grail fans), the lovely town of Inveraray (with its own castle), Loch Lomond and other stunning places along the way. We also stopped at the foot of Stirling Castle, and my photo managed to squeeze in a Hairy Coo (!!!) that seemed perfectly content standing in a freezing pool of water.
I hope there are many more Hairy Coos dotting my path through Scotland. In the meantime, here are some photos from the Scottish Highlands, including a few on the way in/out of Edinburgh:
